Great Synagogue - Approx. 7 minute walk
Kotel around 15min walk thru the mall & arab Shuk (Only suggested when soldiers are present like friday night on the way home)
Hotel has a Shul in the basement
Shul across the street

Hechsher: Plain Rabbanut Yerushayim (not mehadrin)
hechsherim in isreal whatever your rabbi says you can eat, someone else's rabbi says is treif

If anyone is planing on staying at Waldorf and not eating the free breakfast (Hechsher, Early flight, etc') please PM shimino1

If you get free drinks vouchers and don't use them, I'll buy it off you for 10 shek per voucher.

Te reichmans have nothing to do with the management of the hotel.. They managed the construction... Now it's all run by Hilton.

They consider it mehadrin- as the mashgiach will tell you all the food is mehadrin.

Are they no longer accepting points? Any date i put in comes up unavailable.

For me the difference is that i have booked a stay i may not use and was going to cancel, but if its not available anymore i'll make sure to use it somehow.

They attach many restrictions to room redemption. For instance, many stays require at least five nights. Also, they only offer a very limited amount of rooms at the 80,000 points a night level. Try a five night stay and shift to a day before or a day after and see if you have any luck.

Anyone have the mashgiach's number or know if kosher standards have changed/whether they take terumos/maaseros etc. along with meat stringencies? Also, has anyone been upgraded as a gold when using their free weekend cert, or should i expect to only have a king superior room? hoping to go this shabbos, thx so much!

I just spoke to Eli the mashgiach myself, can give his number if u pm me. All meats are rabbanut jlem, Kehilot, chareidis or aguda, with 80 to 90 being Kehilot. I haven't been in Israel in a while, but Kehilot is a newer hechsher pushed by r karelitz per Eli. All veggies with big issues are gush Katif and all other stuff with terumos massros issues are bought from rabbanut mehadrin.

FYI, every kashrus in Israel takes trumos/maasros.

Not possible, to be mehadrin you can only have non-jews working on shabbos. Because of the proximity to the old city which is a high security zone legally they can't do that.
