1. If I have a bunch of MR that I will probably eventually want to use for a trip to HI do you think it makes sense for me to take advantage of this promo now? I might want to make my trip in August (and it might not be until next year...)

2. Is there any good reason to make a transfer now rather then in May. (not just for my situation, a general question). i.e. is there any chance they may end the promo before the stated end date?

@whyme availability can always change.
It's basically impossible for amex to go back on their word and not honor it until May.

i smd them and they said they will contact ba...not sure what thats supposed to mean

BA from NYC to HI isn't a great option.

A nonstop flight from the west coast on AA or AS should be 25K/50K/75K round-trip in Y/J/F.

You missed it by 10 days.
