If he has a longer term outlook though, it may be worth transferring for when their value recovers.
I got lucky and got rid of around 300k BA right b/f the transfer for around 1.6cpm.

Trying to book a flight form NYC to CLV. for Aug 5. BA is not showing any morning flights. Tried Akron and BA does not fly to that airport. Looking for help in finding a morning flight using BA points.

If you're looking for flights to Cleavland, OH, you have to search for CLE.

Did you try to search AA.com? If you can't find Saaver availability (coach 12.5k one-way, 25k round-trip) then BA won't allow you to book those flights. If you see 'em on AA.com, post back here and we'll walk you through the booking (BL"N)

If I cancel my platinum card will Iose the miles that I have in that account? Should I transfer out the miles before closing the account? The $450 fee is high. Thank you.
