Let me clarify, I will be using it mostly on trips between NYC & Lkwd and NYC & Monsey. The new Ipad has 4g. Verizons coverage for true 4g in the area is bigger but once you leave that coverage you are on their 3g network. ATT true 4g coverage in the area is smaller so but they upgraded their old network to HSPA+ which is sort of a 3.5g. While I am asking regarding the IPAD 3 this would apply other 4g devices (laptop card & 4g phones) as well.
