Which you can cancel at any time from my experience.  Just call the first few times or use the online account tool to cancel the next shipment when you get the email that your shipment is scheduled.  Once, I called to cancel and the shipment came anyway - called when it arrived, and they apologized,. refunded the $, and told me to keep the coffee shipment. :)

What do you not like about the Keurig? That info might help get you to something better for you.

I was recently at the Z Ocean hotel in South Beach and was introduced to this Nespresso machine. To say I was impressed is an understatement.
Best coffee ever!
You do have to buy coffee capsules (refills).

Nespresso is great!  But capsules are $0.60 each for an espresso or longo -- which is either a tiny cup size or a 4 oz cup.  Need to mix with milk (for cappucino) , or with water to make an "Americano" - which is like regular US coffee.

But it's still pricey, and can't really get them at a discount in the US

If someone calls the Nespresso Club, and let's say, has a Nespresso C190 machine that was discontinued a couple of years ago and is no lnger under warranty (1 yr warranty and no serial # on the C190), a repair on the broken C190 is $99, or the rep will offer a special discount on buying a new machine instead of repairing the old one  ;)

The taste. Not as good as traditional brewed coffee.

Very cool but way too pricey.  Was looking for something under $100.  Nothing fancy.  Just coffee makers that people have used and have been happy with.

I don't know anything about this coffee maker, but the DeLonghi Nescafe Dolce Gusto Circolo Coffeemaker is one of the coolest looking machines out there!

Back in my yeshiva days I had a one-cup machine from Gevalia. I think I got it for free or close to free. I figured out a way to use ground coffee with conventional filters instead of having to reorder the "coffee pods", its pretty easy and you get good coffee in about 30 seconds, as the water boils instantly.
Perfect piece, loved it.

Traditional = conventional = regular drip coffee maker.  I've tried dozens of flavors.  It's just not the same.

Incidentally, if anyone is looking for a Keurig, I found a great deal at officemax.com on the B130 (single cup) for $60 shipped using code 56793762.

The reason I had asked is because I was just talking to a co-worker about this and he had the same complaint. He thinks that the fact that it forces the water through fairly quickly instead of the slow drip process is what ruins it. I told him to check out the new Keurig system, the Vue. Supposedly it adds a lot of functionality and customization to the brewing process (customize water temp and pressure, airflow, brew strength, etc). It's expensive, but he said he'd pay the premium if it made good coffee. I see that you're probably looking in a lower price range though, so this is probably not an option.

Jut FYI -- they are varieties, not flavors (there are no "flavored" Nespresso capsules).  All 16 are under the Hechscher of Rav Levinger of Basel, Switzerland.  I have a PDF of the certificate, but can't figure out how to post it to postimage.com -- it doesn't like PDFs.

Great. Thanks so much. I think I might choose a Nespresso.
