Just booked that flight yesterday when i did it as a RT it priced out at $114.18 but when i booked it as 2 one ways the price was $5 for the outbound and $107.98 for the return (saved $1.20)

If I miss my flight could I go to the next AA flight , if I booked my flight with BA and that was the last AA available flights on that date on BA.COM ?

Okay sorry. For instance on august 8th from SJU to JFK i see availability on aa.com, however, it says no availability on ba.com

It's a connecting flight.
If you want to book that with Avios you'll need to book each leg separately. BA charges for each leg anyway whether on one ticket or 2.

In your experience do you think its too early to be booking BA for August, (as there does not seem to be much availability now,) and availability will be added, or, whatever I see now on AA as "saver" is likely all that will be available?
