anyone know whats the deal with lan availability?
if i see lan availability can i call ba and ask them to get me it? or are there only certain flights that ba can book out lan awards? atm i see tons of availability from aep-igr on lan, yet next to nothing on ba.com for 10/04-18/04?

When I was thinking of doing IGR in addition to EZE I had run into the same problem on that route, but I decided against bringing an infant to IGR so never bothered to PUTPAC.
Remember that LAN has levels, so only the lowest (I think it's 9 or 10K each way IIRC?) will be bookable by BA, if you see that then PUTPAC and let us know what they say. Might want to just do a SPG-LAN transfer if BA won't book it for some reason.

I recall seeing on the site that MIA-Cancun should be 4,500 points each way and I assume Costa Rica shouldnt be much more if not further - yet when I try booking on BA site looking with AA partner it doesnt show up even though on American it does have economy saver flights though the price is either 17.5k each way or more - any one have any ideas what to do? Thank you , help much appreciated

BA's phone system is down. I see availbility on aa.com for buisness/first on day I want to travel but it doesn't show up on ba.com. If I wait till their phone system goes back up will they be able to book it for me?

In my experience if its on aa.com its also on ba.com but its a PEBKAC error...

Thats a first class route you need to search for business and then switch to first.

I'm trying to find an award ticket on AA with Avios, JFK/LGA-MIA/FLL direct for 10 days or so at the end of August. AA shows basically no direct availability in coach, but almost 10 flights a day with availability in business (this is all SAAver obviously). Yet BA shows nothing in business either. Any ideas?

Also, how any Avios would it be for NYC-MIA in business?

This is probably not the right thread for this question, but i'm n00b to this board and couldn't find a better thread.

If I open a BA ff# today, could I transfer in MR points today (which will post instantly?), and then book a ticket right away?

yes. Just don't open it thru amex, do it on BA.com
