Because ab releases the same award space to its partners. why would they be different?

how do you know that? source? could be many reasons why they release more to AA than BA

At what point does it error out?
When you try to select it.

When you try to select it.
I've selected AB flights on AA.com and logged in there while they don't show up on BA.com
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

JFK-DUS on 11/27 shows direct availability on AB in J. Try to select it and it disappears and changes to Y. PUTPAC BA and they will tell you that it is not available in J, only Y.
Search on QF and you will only see direct availability on AB in J on 11/26 and 12/1.
I just matched up 2 weeks of AB availability on QF with BA over the phone and it all matched perfectly. AA was wrong most of the time.

Not arguing, just saying it seemed from AA.com that it would book it (unless it would error out only after entering CC info which is entirely possible)

EWR-DEN
Friday, 1/17 - Sunday, 1/19 (or motzai shabbos 1/18)

I found MileSAAver availability for the return flight, but not the departing flight. Does that mean it's a no-go to use Avios?
Also, just want to confirm that this flight would be 10K Avios each way? It's 1700 miles acc to Google.

Business/First MileSAAver availability opened up. Is that going to be the same amount of Avios?

From Lucky, it's about time
Anyway, in that last post reader Khan noted that British Airways has actually changed this policy as of last month, finally. Per this FlyerTalk post:

As part of a programme of changes for our Executive Club Members, we are delivering something that I know you will really welcome following a lot of your feedback on Flyertalk. From today, Executive Club Members can call any service centre to make or change their bookings. This includes both tickets booked with cash or with Avios. You will no longer be asked to call only your local service centre. The numbers that you call will not change and we do encourage to call your local service centre when you are in your country of Membership but we realise that there will be times when you need to reach us wherever you are and our colleagues will be happy to help.
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

I like using this tool to figure out how many Avios it takes to get from Point A to Point B. http://wandr.me/avios-calculator/
You could easily get to Spain and back for that amount (as well as other places). The points depend on the distance, not related to whether you fly BA or a partner- the only difference is the "fuel surcharge" that depends on where you go. Play around with the calculator a bit, read the links in the wiki and let us know if you have more questions.
Good luck!

I booked my family on an AA flight with my Avios and paid the tax with my Sapphire card. CSR said that the baggage fee will not be waived bec. I didn't pay tax with a Citi AA card. One person on my reservation is a Citi Platinum Advantage card holder will all pple on the reservation have their baggage fee waived if I put in the FF#?
