No need to PUTPAC BAEC, just search for business, then switch to first, then click include partners.
Good chap..
Still to no avail.

I guess it would be 37.5K if it shows?

It showed for me just fine when I searched yesterday.  Yup, 37.5K (triple the coach rate, though you will get 3 bags)
For 3 class planes like JFK-LAX/SFO or for flights outside of the US50 business is only double the coach rate.

Trying to book a flight for a friend using avios on AA  from NYC to LAX.  On AA.com its showing mile saaver availability but nothing on BA.com when including partners and when he called they said no availability. He even gave the flight numbers that were showing up as available on aa.com
Did something change or am I correct in telling him that they are wrong and if AA has mile saaver then you could book with Avios?

Happened once on here (for a flight I was looking for).

BAEC said no availability, but KVS showed. S/he suggested I do a long-sell.

It's a general rule. And you may as well search separate as you pay for each leg either way!

There are exceptions.

JFK-LAX-SYD is 50K in economy and comes up as one flight being that its one flight number.

LAX-SYD is also 50K so if you would book JFK-LAX, then LAX-SYD, youd pay 75K.

Takeh, after November 16 2011, they are showing less AA connections, however they still show plenty, just booked one today.
you may as well search separate as you pay for each leg either way!
There are two problems with that:
1) If domestic and you get a mamzer at the counter they won't check your bag all the way causing passenger to have to pay baggage fee twice and claim luggage (happened).
2) Being that BA.com is a messed up site, chances of getting error messages would double.

1. Ask for a supervisor, that's simply not policy.
2. So check both before booking.

He was the mamzer. Although it is the exception.
