Did you have the car when it had the trial? How long ago was the trial period?
Yes. But I got it 2 days before Sandy hit, I'm sure I can play that angle ;)
I'm asking what identification I need when I call in as I've never had an account with them? The VIN etc

Sandy should work to your benefit. I believe all you need is the VIN.

You need the radio ID, which can be found on XM channel 0 or 1 (I forgot which exactly).

I feel terrible. A few months back I got a letter that they're renewing my subscription and charging my card. I didn't even check it out. I didn't know there are cheaper prices. I guess I messed up. I'll keep it in mind next time. Thanks for the heads up. First time I'm reading this.

Call up to cancel now, you can probably get some money back, or have them give you the better rate.

Ok guys. Need your help and advice here. As I mentioned earlier in this blog, I paid for ,y xm radio and traffic for my nav a total of 210.36 for a year. I called and asked how much the breakdown was and they said 159.39 for XM and 3.99/month traffic. I told them I heard it's 25 for 6 months so why am I paying 109 extra. He said because I don't have any deals. So I said I'll probably cancel and wait for an offer. He said I can cancel if I want. No counter offer. SO, should I cancel and wait for an offer and be without XM until then, keep it as is or try something else??

You should cancel, wait a day then just call up and say you got an offer for 6 months for 25$. Should work, works for me everytime.

You can google to find a deal. They have them going all the time IME.

So you think I should find a deal via google and then call to cancel or tell them first about the deal?

Google and find the deal. Call to cancel and say you want to cancel unless you can get offered that price.

I just called to cancel and try to get a better rate. The first time I had no luck. Anyway, would you believe this! The same exact guy answered! So I hung up. I'll try tomorrow unless they only have one guy working in the whole company!

HUCA should work for you. Just don't call back the same time of day.

So the saga continues. I didn't get a chance to call them back to cancel. Today I get an email wanting to know if I was satisfied with my phone support to XMSIRIUS. I laced into them through their questionnaire and they said they're gonna call me. I'll let you know what happens when I speak to them.

Good luck. Make sure you threaten to cancel. They would rather have you pay $25 for six months then $0 and not be a customer.

I did have another question. Does anyone know, if you cancel and then reinstate, is their additional fees besides the yearly fee?
