I am planning on taking a trip in August and wanted to know how long it takes after the first swipe for the 50,000 bonus points to post on my rapid rewards account. Thanks

Within a few days of your statement closing.
You'll be fine.
Don't forget you can also convert them to Airtran or convert RR2.0 points into RR1.0 vouchers.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

What are RR2.0 points into RR1.0 vouchers or where can I read more about them?

RR2.0 points are worth between 1.7-2 cents towards SW flights or 1 cent for gift cards to stores.
RR1.0 vouchers cost 19,200 RR2.0 points and are a good for 2 one-way tickets, regardless of cost, but are subject to capacity controls that you can only find out by calling them.

If I have a flight I wanna book and its 21k points the best way to book would be rr2.0?
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

If it's available with RR1.0 then you will save 1,800 points, but you also have to factor hassle in converting RR2.0 to Airtran and then back to RR1.0
