Thank you all, Yes this is my first post, I hav the standard Chase Master card Rewards card & a NEW Ubited Chase Milage plus explorer card both on the same Online accout!  Is it possible to transfer points from one to the other? I cant find any optopns to do this

I don't know what that card is, so you'll have to be more specific. If it earns UR points, then you can definitely transfer those points to someone else with an account that can deposit for mileage. What are you looking to do with your United miles?

For that card, you'll have to transfer to a Sapphire Preferred or Ink Bold card to get your UR points converted to miles. Consider applying for one or both of those cards, and you'll get miles along the way too

You personally will be unable to directly transfer your UR to UA. You'd have to either 1) get a Sapphire Preferred or Ink Bold, or 2) transfer to someone who has one of those cards who can then, in turn, transfer to your UA account.

Go to united.com and price the ticket which you are interested in then compare that to the value of the points you would need to book the same tickets, the current value of UR points is roughly 1.65 cents per point, (for example 100,000 points are worth $1650) it is often worth your while to sell the points rather than use them to book. if you are selling them you won't need to transfer them. if you are using them you will need to find a trusted friend who has a chase sapphire or ink bold Card, transfer it to their card and from there to your united account

You're almost certainly not right when redeeming for higher-class fares (J/F), and you're even when redeeming for coach fares you may not come out ahead.

IME it's better to sell and book revenue coach tickets. Especially if you want to earn miles/EQMs and you don't want to deal with award availability challenges.

It depends on the flight.  There are plenty of coach redemptions that make perfect sense (e.g. last minute nonstop CLE-LAX would be $1,500 but just 25K miles) and plenty that don't (80K to TLV during off-peak when non-stops are $850)
