im having an issue with google talk notification sounds, that when someone chats with me, i dont hear it - so if im on a diff page lets say, i have no clue someones talking to me or answering me.

anyone had this issue before or know how to fix it?

On my computer using Chrome, when someone responds to me in a chat, if I'm in a different window - the tab for gmail starts flashing saying that there's a new response to read.

so this seems like a recent problem gmail is having.

how do u get it to flash? by me itll just say who wrote something, but not flash

By 'flash' I mean it alternates between saying '____ Says' and gmail. Not flashing as in lighting up but as in you see movement from the text alternating.

Be logged in, go to https://mail.google.com/mail/?tab=mm#settings/chat

Go to the 3rd part: Voice and video chat:

Expand: Verify your settings

Choose the correct hardware. Should be easy.

it happen to turn back on for some reason by itself. thanx anyways
