Bill Me Later

I am about to purchase something on ebay and they offered me $10 off my purchase to use Bill Me Later. Is this worth it to save $10? All it asks for is DOB and last 4 of Social. Is it a hard pull?

can anyone confirm that Bill me later does indeed take a hard credit pull? I would find it hard to believe since it's available on hundreds of websites and for small purchases, so who would want to have a hard credit pull every time they buy something?

I imagine they only pull your credit the first time, much like a credit card doesn't pull your credit every time you spend money

Don't they need a full social for a credit pull? That's what's threw me off. And I didn't do it so thanks to everyone for advice. Not worth it to save ten bucks

Just spoke to PayPal rep.  It is a hard inquiry just like a cc app.  6 months no interest and you get $10 back if you purchase one or more items totaling $99 or over.  Just stick to the cc game.  haha

I asked them the same thing, but rep confirmed it.  I would assume that you have all of your other info in the system when you first apply for the paypal account.

that's not the case, I never had a PayPal account and still got pulled with bill me later only with last 4 of SS
