I'm not sure why this card is always ignored when these questions come up, but the MB platinum card is definitely in the top 5. 50k MR points, plus $200 airline credit, all for a very small 1k spend. And if you care about Global Entry, the free $100 is a nice touch

Very simple: it has a $475 annual fee. So for someone looking for a quick buck or flight its great, but as a standard spending card.....

Forgot to mention that you are supposed to cancel within 60 days. The OP asked what the best bonus is, not what the best spending card is. Since he is spending 2k per month, he can go for this + some Chase cards.

Whats the next step?

My old thread (where I asked for advice on which card to open) seems to have disappeared, but I just did a 3bm for sp mc, freedom, and United MileagePlus® Club Card. The united I got approved instantly, and the other two say pending. The sp mc I know its because I already have a visa... What should my next step be? Call them or wait for a response about freedom and sp? Thanks!
