The government should block this insanity. Look what happened to UA. And to think all of the problems start from Gov't labor regulations in the first place.

Sure. But we have to compete with the successful nations, not only with France and Spain.

It doesnt make a difference. CO acquired UA, but they though United is a better name. American is clearly a stronger brand than US, and American's position within OneWorld is clearly stronger than USs within Star Alliance, although me wonders if they'll try to keep both alliances or something like that

None currently or historically (aside from temporarily post merger) to the best of my knowledge.

Their median age of flight crew is probably somewhere in the 60s.

My wife and I have 600K each in Us Airways dividend miles. More than I can use on travel anytime soon. Any reason they would be worth more after merger? Is it a liability to be holding on to so many miles without a clear future? Would you sell?

WOW revived the thread after 2.5 months,

I havent heard anything new about the merger since september, have you heard something recently?
If you arent gonna use them for travel anytime soon as you said, it may be a good idea to turn them into cash.
So to answer your question, YES, i would sell
