Interesting email from US airways stating that in 2015 when they fully merge the US airways master card will become a aa advantage master card issued by Barclays

Yes, this has been discussed here before, maybe even reported on MS.

No nafka mina. AAdvantage is going to be the new miles program for US i.e. no more Dividend, so they're rebranding the card.

And Barclay's will only have a short window as a co-issuer of the AAdvantage card.

It'll ultimately only be Citi who issues them.
2015: 116K bkd | 1.6M brnd | F: OZ,NH,AA,EK | J: UA,CA,TK,DL,TN,AF,VA | LIH,NRT,ROR,PEK,CNS,BOB,MEL,TLV & Pacific Hopper

This card will probably just be sent out to everyone who has US as a replacement.

I wasn't comparing the programs. He asked about the card changing. If DM is gone, then this card will be an AA card. No big deal.

Correct, I am asking strictly about the card being Barclay vs. Citi. Any nafka mina?

How bad is the expected devaluation supposed to be... should I bother trying to accumulate a lot of aa/dm miles?

but from the email sent out it's clear that there will be one program and it will be as we all have expected AA

There is PROBABLY 2 things that will change
1) the 5k discount (imagine 15k ow to Europe :P)
2) When spending 25k on the card 10k towards status
I assume that these benefits will be gone
