Actually I was thinking, either of the two:
1. he is a Citi rep, and doesn't mind leaking info anonymously, and still enjoys having other credit cards and stuff.
2. He is really Meshuga. Being bored day and night, and calling up a company that you don't even have a card with them, and again, and then again. And be the first to know when this is out. IMO, this is kinda an interesting personality.

Hope the first is the answer.

I dont think he's obligated, but he's just making a fool out of himself, which is what he's good at.

But until we don't see the information with our eyes, or he discloses from where he took the info (besides calling in Thank You, which doesn't make sense for a person without a card to call in million times for no good reason, like I pointed out), I believe that we are aloud to speculate on that.

Speculate all you want, but again, he is not required to disclose how he determined TY points will be xferrable to BA or SQ. The fact that he called it before anyone else did, and it has been confirmed by any number of Citi reps should be enough to suggest that there is a pretty darn good chance TY points will be xferrable.

(That said, his original post today was a bit misleading IMHO.)
