Right now the best way is to use the points to book tickets through the Thank You website. You will get 1.33 cents per point. Find a family member or friend that needs tickets. Simple as that.

If and when they allow transfers to airlines, that will be more valuable.

Are their tickets well priced or like many other banks way overpriced?

Since when are the banks overpriced?

The banks use the exact same booking engines as Expedia and Orbitz, and the markup is exactly the same.

Unless there is something I missed...

Amex is always $10-$20 more than every other search engine.

Its the same engine as AOL & I believe travelocity.
They add a few dollars, but less than 10 IME

Whichever underlying booking engines they use, (Sabre, Amadeus etc..) they all pretty much put the same markup on the price.

I actually did not know that the banks up the price on this by a few bucks. Sounds very sleazy.

Not unless you want another rumor.

Well, we know that something was happening there, because Citi Reps confirmed it many times over. So they either killed it off, or they delayed it.

If you don't mind just hold in to them for a while. It can't hurt.

True but are u suggesting they will come up with the goods soon?
P.S. if one books a ticket using the travel awards the points are valued at about 1.3
