I called to cancel and was given 75$ after 1k spend.  Seems the standard offer
I was given that offer and another: $125 after $4500 spend (VR @ CVS) netted me 5600 ty points redeemed for $50 Amazon gc

Got a FB offer from Citi for 1,000 free TY points for linking your amazon account to Citi, doesn't seem targeted.

To earn 1000 bonus points, enter TYAMCAZON2 at thankyou.com/bonusreg and follow the 3 steps in the Terms and Conditions!

Terms and Conditions: To qualify for this offer, you must be a ThankYou® Member with an eligible Citi credit card and link your ThankYou and Amazon.com accounts. Only ThankYou Members who have not yet linked to Amazon.com qualify.Follow these 3 STEPS to claim: 1) Log onto thankyou.com/bonusreg (or click on “Shop Now”) where you will be prompted to log into your ThankYou Member Account. 2) Enter bonus registration code TYAMCAZON2 and press submit. 3) On the confirmation page press continue & link your accounts. Offer expires at 11:59 PM ET on 6/30/2013 or until the first 20,000 members have linked—whichever comes first.Bonus points will be posted by July 10,2013.The points you receive as part of this offer may be reported to the IRS as miscellaneous income on Form 1099-MISC, as required by applicable law.Customer is responsible for any taxes. Amazon.com is not a sponsor of this promotion.

It didn't work for me (dunno why), but it should hopefully work for others.
Thanks. Worked for me instant 1k TYP in my account
(put the code in the second box and you will have instant confirmation)

Just saw my mother in laws credit card, its a AT&T Universal Rewards credit card, she knows on her statement says that she haves about 200,000 points but haves no idea for what she can use it or what type of point they are, are they thank you points? if yes, to which programs are TY points transfer to?

They are citi easy deals points and you use them to get stuff at a discount. Nothing is free but at 1PM every day they have a daily special which is usually a particular $10 gift card for $5 and some points. You have to be on at 1PM and put in for it because they go very quickly. Website is www.citieasydeals.universalcard.com. These points are basically useless unlike thank you points where you can at least get GCs for free using points. I get TY points every month for being a citigold customer. I very rarely use my TY premier card except on SBS. That is the card that was converted from the Citi Platinum AMEX. I keep the card because I don't pay an annual fee and on SBS I get the $25.

I'm thinking about applying for the Thank you preferred card but have a few questions:

Is there still a 5x points promo on drugstore purchases (i.e. VR)?

What's the largest sign up bonus out there?

Can these points be transferred to BA at a 1:1 ratio?

Thanks!

Is Thank You points still considered 1.pp other than using it for flights? I tried getting cash back and it seems like they'll only give you .5pp. (Sorry if it was discussed earlier, I looked around for this)

cash back is .005c but gift cards are .01. (it used to be better) Another option is mortgage payment which is now .01 10k ty points =$100. They mail a check to you and you mail to your mortgage holder. If you use billpay may not be a good option. The same is true for student loans 10k ty points=$100

Thank you for the info re: 1CPP for student loans! Very helpful for me.

Are there any airline transfer partners. I have a friend who shells out $500 a year for the Citi Prestige card. What card should i recommend him to get if its only going to be one?

No. Hard to say without knowing what his redemption aspirations are, and what he spends on.

Good all around cards:

1) Starwood Amex
2) Chase Ink Bold / Plus
3) Chase Sapphire Preferred
4) Barclays Arrival

Trying to book for 2 adults and 1 infant, and it's counting it as 3 people in regards to points needed.
Make sense? flight is on Delta from LGA to MIA

Your best bet is to cash out as GCs that equate to 1cpp.

You can earn 3 HHonors points per dollar spent in base categories with the Surpass card. Which means each HHonors point is worth about .333 of a cent.

It would only be a good option if you were going for a specific Hilton award and this would clear it for you.

With new Rewards Account Numbers, you can now buy an item online anywhere MasterCard® and Visa® are accepted and use your ThankYou Points to cover all or part of the purchase with a statement credit.

Just got it in my email, nothing exciting.
