Plus, now you can use your points at Amazon.com to redeem for millions of items, including top-brand home and electronics merchandise. To enjoy this new benefit, simply go to the Citi ThankYouŽ page at Amazon.com and click the Get Started button in the blue box. From there, follow the online instructions to link your ThankYou Member Account to your Amazon.com account.

yep, just checked it out, huge devaluation!     no more amazon gc's available through ty points.  and if you shop with points at amazon they only give you ~80% value.      i was about to burn through a bunch of ty points on amazon gc's this week.   what garbage.

yeah.  But if you are redeeming on amazon you have already been devalued 25-33%.

you could redeem for best buy gift cards, and then use those to pick up amazon gc's in teh b&m.   it's a pain, but it works.

Interesting call with Citi. I have the premier and wanted to downgrade to the preferred to get my annual fee back when the rep told me that my card is eligible for the following offer before I downgrade. $1000 spend for $75 statement credit or $4500 spend within 3 months for a $125 statement credit. Then I can downgrade and get the rest of the annual fee back.  8)

When I called, they told me about an offer running. Get 5 points for every $ spent up to 2500.
Someone else called to get it and they told them it was only offered to me bec I was going to cancel.
In any case, I am using the companion ticket next month and then I will downgrade or cancel

You get a one companion pass a year domestic only. And unlimited 15% off any ticket. Can be for u and up to 3 people.
Thing is they don't have the best selection of flights, but it works.
For my flight next month. The cheapest I could find was $ 470 and I got it with the companion and taxes for $ 560

Just spoke to a csr last week and you can still request amazon gift cards by phone when you call in. They just are not offered on the website.

Any 35k or 40k links?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.
