^ This is the reason many people stay away from the forums and why I only recently dared to venture into this nasty unfriendly territory. A comment on a flaw in the forum does not need to turn into an argument nor should it result in insults against me.

This was a legitimate evolution of a conversation, and at the same time had steered off the original topic.

Simple solution, if you feel its necessary, just RTM to spin it off.

You misunderstand me.

Comments regarding flaws are welcome. I was merely pointing out that your claimed "flaw" was nothing of the sort, but rather a logical progression of a topic currently being discussed.

When you persisted with your argument it was "random chatter," I pointed out such a position merely proves you did not actually follow the logical progression of the conversation.

ETA: If my single comment on a virtual forum causes you to stay away, you do so at your own detriment; that'd be your loss. The amount one can gain here, albeit with a slightly tougher skin that you seem to have, is immense. Buck up, soldier, and laugh your way to the bank.

Suntrust cobrand DL debit.

Banks pay more than 1cpm for transfers. Exactly why AMEX makes it hard for the masses to find.

And +1 to the idea that our community is tiny and most are spending on cobrand cards that don't transfer

Not that Dan needs my +1s

Then its you, too, who needs to answer:

Well, by consequence,  you're also saying that adding AA as a partner of TY wouldn't materially cannibalize their vanilla offerings. Yet they haven't done it. It's clearly not due to their not being a relationship... So what is it?

Legit question, but AA is a stickler like that. They don't even like when Citi mentions travel abilities/rewards as part of ThankYou advertising. If Citi is going to be marketing a product to a travel audience, AA wants it to be their product.

Amazing that Citi didn't leverage AAs bankruptcy better.
AMEX and Chase made out nicely when Delta and United went bankrupt.

You'd think the simple fact that Chase lets you transfer to United - industry standard/precedent - would be enough leverage.

Citi just doesn't get it IMHO.  It's evident in their transfer partner list.
AMEX and Chase have won the credit card wars.

I'm curious if their financial statements would corroborate that assertion.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.
