I called up chase, after 90 days of the account being open, and i asked them if i can close the account. (after 90 days there is no early closing fee.) They told me although i wont have to pay a fee, but if i close it before 180 days they will take my miles out of my account, can anyone verify if they are really able to do that?

AFAIK they don't take back the signup bonus.
They will take back your banker's commission though if you applied in a branch, so consider that if you don't want to anger them.

as Dan said and was mentioned many times the Banker will tell you that you lose the miles because they lose their commission.

already got my 2,500 from chase but not yet the other 22,500 (from CO?)

Samething happend to me and I just went to the bank and they made a diff co account where they put the rest even though the 2,500 went to my regular account

me 2. i called chase they transfered it to my old account
