This is so annoying, every time I call they give me a shpiel about how many courtesy points I got. This last time I called to complain about their site being down, the CSR offered me 2500 points and a permanent note on my account that I'm no longer eligible for courtesy points for website issues. I explained that I don't want to waive my right to points when I have a legitimate issue, and turned down his generous offer.
Granted, I've received a lot of courtesy points (mostly as an attempt to get the equivalent of 100k signup bonus (which I was promised by Chase employees) in courtesy points, worked for ~25k ontop of the standard 50k), but I'm still disappointed. I prefer they didn't offer anything, rather than talk to me like they did.
