When I got a ticket for parking at a bus stop, but it was really not by the bus stop but by the meter section (sign missing). I went down to fight it (downtown Brooklyn) with pictures and a report of where signs should be on the block (totally not understandable, but I brought it). The longest time was in driving back and forth. Once there I was called in in no time, argued my points (had a little back and forth) and won. BTW, the judge asked me where it says in the report about the signs and I just pointed anyway as if I knew what I was talking about. I really think if you're in the right, or can show you might be, if you can spare the time to go down it may save you some bucks.
