Anyone have success fighting an inspection ticket?

Years ago I got an inspection ticket.  Took it in for inspection that day and then wrote that I had an appointment for an inspection scheduled and had it done later that day and the ticket got dismissed

I got a ticket 2:15 Pm and I bought a muni-meter 2:17 its 2 minutes after the ticket time.
I tried dismissing it as usual, but this time they claim I am guilty and the reason is as follows -----> Presents a Muni-meter receipt purchased at 2:17. This is not a persuasive defense  the receipt that was displayed on the dash at the time the summons was issued expired at 2:01Pm, 14 minutes before this summons was issued, and the 5 minute grace period has already expired. Summons sustained.
Any on can help me what I should do now?

Appeal.  Explain it again.  There were two receipts--one from earlier that day, and one that you bought for this parking while the guy was ticketing you.

Interesting to see they used your old parking tickets to give you a ticket, best would be to do like said above, claim it was a parking ticket which I used for when I was parked 2 blocks away, and once you have a ticket for 5 minutes Within the time frame of the ticket you should be ok, so don't know how they could reject it with some other wacky excuse of you having a ticket from 2:01.(why don't they use a ticket which you had from 12:00 that way they could say it's a 2hr-15min grace period?
   Fight it for 2 different places and you should be good.

Did the ticket itself mention your old receipt? Wondering if they have a way to file something not on the ticket

i got a handwritten ticket for being parked in the crosswalk. by vin number the guy wrote n/s when its clearly printed on my registration is that a way to get me off and if so what should i write to them

Should be able to get it off simply by saying the ticket incomplete. NY plates? If so, the Vin is on the registration  in the window. If he couldn't get it then you should have ticket for no reggie

Got a ticket on a side for Friday and they write E 22nd (for ex) and they write NA for the address except for 5 feet E of E 22nd and the other side is Thursday. Can I play saying it's the other side. And facing east and was an empty block so traffic cop must have mistaken my car and question them why no address was shown so must mean he error ed and realized so left the address blank? Tia

Oh well that could be the answer to why I still see the ticket. For 45$ still there, any luck trying with the same excuse online a 2nd time,meaning it will sound solid this Time,(first time sent in the mail.)

Ok here's my story. My car would not start on the day of alternative side parking. I left a note on the windshield that the engine doesn't start (I knew there was little chance that would prevent a ticket but did it nonetheless).

Sure enough I got a ticket for not moving for alternative side. Once alternative side was over, I was in no rush to get the car towed since the next alternative wasn't until 3 days later. I signed up for AAA waited another day and then got the car towed to a repair shop (car needed the starter replaced).

I disputed the ticket online and provided the car towing recipient and the repair shop recipient. Sure enough it was rejected because I didn't have it towed within 4 hours of the ticket (which is complete nonsense because why should I be in a rush to have it towed when it's a completely legal spot).

Anyway I know that using common sense gets you no where with this dispute so anyone have advise and would be my best argument for them to waive the ticket?
