It takes longer for the system to get around to hand written tickets which can take 2 weeks + and a computer printed ticket usually Within 10 days usually shows up.

 Or your ticket has some info wrong and your scot free!

friend was telling me if u scratch the barcode on registration they have to hand write the ticket which usually makes it much easier to dispute. thought it was a good tip

I've done it (filled a lot of gaps) still get printed. Unless it's from sanitation.

The meter maids could hand write it into their computer instead of scan....

Mine is handwritten. I don't know why, though, as my sticker was not tampered with etc. I still didn't find a mistake, though. Should I still try disputing it? Based on what?

Mostly related: I renewed my registration but had a hard time putting new sticker on, so I waited, then got a ticket for outdated sticker (saw the month, didn't see the exact date).
Question: Do I fight the ticket by showing the actual registration card was replaced weeks ago, or do I try to explain why I didn't put the new sticker on?

Why not use both. They are essentially the reason the cop didn't see your updated registration, no?

make sure you color it in before you put it back on

I received 2 parking tickets in Spring Valley of Rockland County, NY at the same time. One was for prohibited parking, the other for unispected vehicle.

The prohibited parking ticket all the information is correct, however for the other ticket, he wrote the wrong street on the ticket. So basically, I have 2 tickets for the same vehicle but two different locations. Can I use this in anyway for voiding either ticket.

In addition, this is on a leased vehicle which is going back today. If I don't pay the tickets, can they still come after me? I believe they can usually give you a ticket for driving a vehicle that has unpaid fines, but in this case, I won't be driving it anymore.

The tickets are on the plate number which is registered on you name so I don't see how you can get out of it with the excuse of no longer owning that vehicle. OTOH using one ticket to dispute the other (with the din of eidim zomemin [imanu heyeesem] ) sounds like a viable option if it comes before a considerate judge. Even more so, if you are shrewd enough you can claim that they cannot charge you for either of them because they are contradictory and have no way of proving which one is true.
