How to beat Alternate Side/street cleaning ticket in NY?

Got an ASP ticket 6 min after the time (930-1100) came at 9:36am and just getting the ticket, any decent excuse for why I missed it by 6 min on the dot?!
 I did park 2-3 blocks down because there were no spots and had no choice to take that spot if I wanted to go to sleep that night.

Anyone have any good excuses to get out of a double parking ticket of a non-commercial vehicle ? It was double parked on a school block in Brooklyn because they was alternate side parking in effect, and everyone double parks at those hours anyway.

Something went wrong with NYPD's meter maids today. I had my car parked on 13th Ave. Boro Park for more than a half hour after my meter receipt expired and came back to find NO TICKET  BH!

The ironic part is that when I realized that I'm overtime I didn't even rush back to my car, assuming that it had definitely been ticketed!

Nah it was very windy today, I was wondering why when I opened my car door a ticket came flying in, most probably yours. Lol

Nope $45, I guess you haven't got a ticket in a while.

i got 2 in last 2 weeks and they were both $35

That's really weird, just got one last week and it said $45, wonder why some parts of ny is $45 and some $35? We're you parked in a commercial area or residential?

Asp is 45 and meter is 35.

ASP till 1:30, was still double parked at 1:33 got a ticket $115.
Anyone have luck with grace period like this, or better to claim I was loading my car?

You can try for the grace period claim. Loading your car would be lying unless you were actually loading your car.

Why would grace period help? it's officially illegal to double park even during asp,
Most meter maids look away but they don't need to.

Just the other day, "my meter maid" (asp ticketer) explained to me that it depends on the block, some community boards allow double parking during street cleaning and some don't. That explains why some blocks in Brooklyn are all double parked and others get tix

City hasn't been making enough money and people were taking the spot for the week for $45.. so up they go to $65 a parking ticket for ASP!
 Wacky world, the city doesn't stop robbing us!

 The streets are nasty any ways, have no clue what those sweeper trucks do!
 Make it every 2nd week or so, not ever week and some blocks 2-3 times..
 Have yet to see a town or city that has like nyc!
   And the funny part is the streets are not even clean!

The ppl who eat the $45 every week or twice a week will continue to pay $65 I dont see the street becoming cleaner.

Friend left car asp at the corner of his block. Ticket said he was in front of first house on the block not the corner house(which he was parked in front of). Anyone know if thats how its supposed to be written?
If not,the address the ticket was written for is under construction and does not have a current address properly displayed...
Would appreciate any help
