Has anyone flown recently on Royal Jordanian? Tickets to Israel for Pesach are super expensive and one of the better options is Royal Jordanian. I'm a little nervous... worthwhile or not?

There are multiple reports in this thread about ppl having no issues w/ them, and I'll second that.
I just booked a single female relative to Israel w/ them.

Let's ask it this way.
Are there any carriers that Jews have had issues with?
Besides for El Al.

I wouldn't judge an airline based on this, to put it into context it's 1 passenger on a flight that had heavy turbulence with no pilot communication, doesn't mean I'll never fly this airline again

With AA losing Elal as a partner now, this is a good alternative - http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2014/10/31/royal-jordanian-787-flights-us/.

+1 Imho the q we should be asking is who are we giving our $ to, not is it safe.
It seems the concensus is the only plc/airline you'll be bothered  is TLV or El-al flight. The unfortunate truth

I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse here but just double checking that the consensus is it's perfectly safe and ok to fly RJ even for someone who looks obviously Jewish? Not leaving the airport, but a few hour stopover in AMM

You are right to ask this. My experience has been that many people who post on these threads take it as a dovor hochi poshut that when they travel they will be looking like stam Westerners with baseball caps anyway. If you appear recognizably Jewish when you travel, then you have to explicitly stipulate it on this forum.

Just flew through there and plenty of yidden were wearing their religious head coverings in an explicit fashion.

No issue.

To fulfill kibbud av va'eim, I'm going to re-ask the same question in a slightly different way. Has anyone ever heard of any adverse incident with frum people flying Royal Jordanian or stopping over in AMM for a few hours/ not leaving the airport?

Yes. I once encountered Israeli tourists there and they were rude.

No issues.  Except they might insist that you just arrived or are heading to 'Palestine' instead of Israel.

praying on flight.. most wearing kafieas and borkues.
cheaper tikets but not worth the agmas nefesh
DONT PUT ON T&T FOR SHACHRIS
a big balagan
Looking for more feedback on this. For those that have flown RJ, did you (or would you if you had to) feel comfortable putting on tallis and tefillin for shachris?

Also, everything I've seen online indicates I wouldn't need a visa if I'm just laying over in the airport for a few hours. However, someone gave me a very vague warning that people had issues and I should look into it further. So I'm just looking for confirmation on what I might need to be aware of regarding visas.

TIA
