Many news sites reported it. .gov site is just listing what the original estimate was. But of course make calls and verify before going that route.

I'll be doing the drive from sfo down to la end of the summer as well. What rates did you get with Enterprise? I got National for about $30/day and should be able to get a nice car with executive aisle.
$30 a day is amazing!! How'd you get that?

Driving from Vancouver to LA over 4-5 days. With kids ages 5-10. I would like to drive 5-6 hours a day with 1 or 2 attractions or activities.

Is this reasonable?

Some possibilities:

Boeing Factory
Cannon Beach
Crater Lake
Oregon Dunes Nat'l Rec Area
Redwood Nat'l Park
Glass Beach
Golden Gate Bridge
Big Sur
Monterey - Kayaking
Jelly Belly Factory
Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park - Mcway Falls
Point Lobos

Which ones are kid friendly?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Likely stops:

Oregon Dunes Nat'l Rec Area
Redwood Nat'l Park
Golden Gate Bridge
Monterey
Big Sur
Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park - Mcway Falls

This already adds 7 hours of driving time.

Only driving on HWY 1 between Santa Cruz and Lucia. (Can't go further south because of road closures.)
Should I get on HWY 1 earlier? (north of SF/at SF)

Planning a trip down PCH, arriving in Jan at SFO on a Sunday afternoon with DW and 1 year old.  Want to make it to SD by Wed morning but would really like to be close to kosher restaurants or at least kosher markets and minyanim throughout.   Plan on being in Palo Alto on sunday and the driving down monday morning after scharis down PCH to Oxnard area.  Spend Tuesday after scharis at herzog(mincha 2:00 pm) winery and Tierra Sur and then head to SD Tuesday night stopping for marriv in LA some where?.

Questions what would you do Sunday in SFO/Palo Alto day time if you had that one afternoon and evening only?
Dont know where I can daven Mincha/marriv on Monday on my way to Oxnard or near?
DW appreciates upscale hotels with ocean views.  what are my best options for hotels on sunday in SFO/Palo Alto area and Monday night Oxnard area(prefer using points)?

Stick to SFO as opposed to Palo Alto. Much more to do. In SF there's Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, you can go up to Muir Woods (if not summer check the hours).

Thought about that but wanted minyanim and restaurants.  Can I catch a daily scharis mincha/marriv in SF?  also what upscale hotels with points would you recommend?

SF has both. Chabad and other shuls, food either Frena for dairy/bakery or Sabra for meat. I liked the Intercontinental, which is walkable to frena and sabra.

Look in the SF masterthread.

Try Carmel for ocean front places, but just if the coast doesn't have hotels right in it
