notes from my old navy run

there was a promo last week - 20% off gift cards.

max is $300 in cards, and you can swipe another gift card for the purchase.

so...

i went around to 7 old navys in ca, from the citadel to thousand oaks and in between, 1 i went to twice.

at each old navy i made $60, plus they applied the 20% off to the entire purchase, not just the gift card, so it worked out pretty well.

i bought some clothes for cash at the last store as it was closing rather than pull out 8 gift cards, so my total out of pocket was $380, and after everything (with one price adjustment b/c they didnt apply the coupon) i ended up with:

$567.57 in gap cards
$301.51 in clothes
totaling $869.08 in old navy money
for $380, a half a tank of gas and a pack of cigarettes.

plus i got like $65 cash back just now on an online purchase.

its too bad i found out about this on the last day!
i would have written something here but c'mon - would you guys have taken it seriously?

you how these people are in ca. i just swiped a gc and when it didnt work "oh! thats a gc! let me swipe it for you"

i actually saw a sign in br - 10% off purchases made w/ gc's 1/6-1/10... - its the other way around, for using a gc not buying one, but...
