Best Starwood Hotel in the US for staying with kids?
« on: April 01, 2012, 07:55:23 PM »
I have no real preferences about where in the country we vacation, but I'd like to try a luxury hotel in the Starwood program (5,6, or 7 stars).  We have a 3 year old and an infant.  Based on your actual experience, what Starwood hotel would you recommend and why?

There aren't really an true 5 star SPG hotels (maybe a couple of St. Regis hotels that are borderline) but lots of good 4 star options. A couple of nice ones would be the new St. Regis in Bal Harbour and the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Laguna, California.

Are you looking for a city hotel or a resort?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I guess a resort.  Although I would also consider a city hotel if the hotel itself had something unique and interesting to set it apart from the rest.

The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona. There is even a minyan and Kosher food within driving distance.
