Ah cool, quick google search turned up that the VZW iPad has quad band GSM as well as CDMA radios. Cool.

So... does this mean that the Verizon version is the way to go - even for those who plan to use AT&T while in the USA?

Gotcha.

So the AT&T version will work on 4G in the States, and will work fine with Cellcom/Orange in Israel?

Any idea what Cellcom/Orange's data options are? Some poking online only found their usual data plans - nothing iPad-specific, nor pay-as-you-go friendly. and not wallet-friendly, either. :( Am I missing something here?

Contracts are illegal i Israel since 01/12. These are all for post-paid, no contract plans. Cellcom does have a pay-as-go option, but it cost a lot more.

Bump.

For the newest iPad (the one replacing the "new iPad" :o), what's the best bet for someone who's gonna be using it mostly in Israel? VZW, AT&T, or Sprint?

When in the US, is there any way at all to get unlimited data (including the possibility of getting service from some other carrier, not one of the three mentioned above)?

Finally, what's the best site to buy from to maximize points/cashback earning?

Anybody? I really need to order one ASAP...

BTW, the Apple site says the earliest they'll ship the ones with 4G is 7 days.  >:( Anyplace else to order from at the same price, with a 2 day shipping option?

Since every plan is a month to month plan. With ATT you can just activate it and deactivate it using the same aim card. With Verizon however when ever you reactive it, you have to go into a Verizon store and get a new SIM card.

Thanks, but... the question was if there's any way to get unlimited data. From any carrier. Is there?

I'm confused.
Can you use the AT&T, Verizon and Sprint internationally? (with local sim) Isn't it locked?
