Just flew again, using avios for three passengers. Got five free bags.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

Five bags for three passengers? including yourself? Isn't it supposed to be one bag per passenger?

On a side note, when you book avios award tickets for others, are they AA elites?

I guess you can use any AA partner's points to book AA metal and pay with your citi AA card, you will get first bag for free.

want to report back a friend's experience:

he used a foreign credit card (issuer has nothing to do with BA or AA at all) to book a AA flight using Avios. got everyone a checked bag for free!

Have a question regarding booking 3 tickets for family members. I have the AA plat which comes with a free bag but I will not bel flying on the reservation. Anyway I can get the travelers free suitcases? I can pay for the tickets with the card if that helps?

I managed to add one of the passengers as an authorized user and they will have the credit card. Will that help ?

You don't need to purchase the ticket with the card. I flew to SFO last weekend with 2 OW tickets. One purchased with GC the other with Amex Gold. I got one free bag for both flights.
Same thing when we flew to New Orleans in Jan.
As long as your Citi AA CC is linked to your AA acct, and your AA # is in your reservation, you should receive one free bag.

I've noticed twice that when I book a ticket with ba points, my boarding pass says priority access on it, even though i don't have status. Anyone else have this?
