Shmura Matzos shortage...

It seems that all over europe there is a shortage of shmura matzos (or so I was told).

By us - for people that didn't order in advance - the cheapest type starts at Euro 55 the box (1 kg).

Is the same by you?

Why is that happening?

according  to google, that's $33.22 a pound....
which is expensive, but not so crazy in the U.S.

It's 50% more.  A bargain considering most things in Europe are at least 100% more than they cost in the US.

Are there a lot of Matza Bakeries out these in Europe.
I think it pretty much has to do with the fact, that there are a lot of bakeries here, vs. Europe that the majority comes from E"Y.

Considering for those who wanted, there was "tsorchaniya", where one could buy 1kg hand shmura matsa at Euro 18...

Not sure if true, but was told that it is cheaper than sold in israel (they come from israel).

After pessach they fly back.

There is a shortage of matza in some bakeries dunno if it's directly related to anything in a big picture.
