Is availability capacity controlled? Im thinking about applying for me and my wife for a 4 night stay at the fairmont pacific rim in vancouver.
At most hotels there just needs to be Fairmont room availability. There are also blackout dates: http://www.fairmont.com/fpc/limitedaccessAt the Plaza (NYC) and Savoy (London) free rooms are severely capacity controlled.
You need to have Fairmont room availability to book a room and then a suite available to use the suite upgrade. If there are just suites available they wont put you directly in a suite (like the hyatt free suite night)
So should i nook a room now and then cancel it after i get the certs to make sure there is availability?
They know all the shtick by now. see link
Even then u can only use one thereper stay. In the t&c can't use two at plaza, even if it's available
Don't think so
