If I close this card before using the certificates will anything happen to them or will it be no problem?

Has anyone churned this card ?

New Fairmont number ?
So I opened a new Fairmont number and applied for the card (It works perfectly with Hyatt and United)

Chase has the new number but both log ins at fairmont take me to the original profile.

It seems like Fairmont merged my 2 account back together.

Any chance that I can still get the bonus ? Anything I can do now to change it ?

I got a letter from Fairmont (signed by someone from Fairmont and someone from Chase) saying I've earned the free nights (even before the first statement close), and that the certificates will be added to my Fairmont account online. But it hasn't actually posted there yet.

Anyone have any experience with this and know how long it takes to post once you've gotten the letter? Should I try to get my statement closed and pay it off ASAP, or does that not affect it?

Would anyone buy these certificate a la Hyatt? How much would fair value be for each free night? Not actually selling (yet) just trying to see if it's feasible.

Any benefit to actually having the Fairmont card open when I use my nights? I can't seem to find any. It doesn't give me status, does it?

You get premier status by having the card which you lose as soon as you close the card (unlike Hyatt which stays till status expires)

Do I lose the free night certs when I close my card?

I just tried booking and rep said she can't redeem it since my "visa card is closed".

How do you check if there is availability to redeem nights?

How do you check what collection a property is?

You can redeem your certs whenever there's standard room availability for cash.
Unless it's a blackout date as listed here: https://www.fairmont.com/fpc/terms-and-conditions/#FPC_Certificates

Thanks. I got confused with the Savoy. List is actually here https://m.fairmont.com/fpc/limitedaccess/.

Anyone know if you can book a standard room and then change it when you get the cert?

Purchasing the certs Dan mentioned earlier on the thread.
The CC certs are valid in all properties.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right thread. I have 4 "Fairmont Visa $25 Breakfast Certificate". Anything I can do with these except use them for breakfast? Is it good for the Spa or any other things or has to be used for breakfast? Would appreciate an answer. Thanks.

No
Not so fast. I'm sure there are official rules as to what you can and can't use them for, but that doesn't mean every Fairmont will adhere to the rules. At the Kea Lani, they basically let us pool all our certs (4 breakfast and 2 spa/dining per card for a total of $300) and let us use it wherever.

Same at the Fairmont Santa Monica.

At the Fairmont in Mayakoba they let me use it for in room dining instead of just the restaurant.
