Luggage space to Israel by the pound
« on: July 22, 2013, 06:04:11 PM »
I'm able to take some extra bags with me when I return to Israel in late August. If someone in Israel is desperate for prepackaged items (no personal items please) from the states, I can get them here and bring them to Israel for you.

I'll be bringing back some 30 lbs of Starbucks coffee for my cousin for example  ;D . Luggage space costs me about $1/lb so I'd just ask the same in return. You'd be responsible for any customs fees the items might incur (hopefully none). I'm limited to about 300-400lbs total, and regular baggage space, so no bookshelves please. Small heavy items are best (books, coffee, etc).

Message me for details if you're interested. I'm not exactly sure the best way logistically to do things but I'm guessing payPal (I'm a verified member) before for the costs, but maybe there's a better way I'm not thinking of, we can work out the details. Pickup would be in Tel Aviv. Any questions just let me know.

Why does it cost you $1/pound?
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

I assume it's $50 for 1 50 pound suitcase..
Wonder if he thought about the fact that the suitcase takes up part of the weight...

Depending on the items I might just put them in a duffel - which doesn't way that much, if things need more protection I have hard suitcases, and yes, they do weigh about 13lbs, that's why I said "about" $1/lb. Depends on how much space I can fill, or if anyone is even interested at all.

Since when is it $50 for a suitcase?
Exactly - I'm able to get extra luggage space at a cheaper price, that's why I thought I'd offer it up here to the oylam. I know when I was there I would have loved to pay $30 for 30lbs of space, so I thought it would be a good deal for someone.

Anyway, space still available. PM me if you're interested.
