During the course of this lawsuit, it has come to my attention that Google has forwarded on a subpoena from AA's counsel requesting that Google provide the personal information associated with many Lakewood-based Gmail accounts.

Did anyone here receive the subpoena?

I don't think it has to do with the former, but not 100% sure yet.

I guess so, but I'd doubt it.

I mean, if the person subpoenaed is found in fact to have done some fishy stuff with GCs, I don't think its a stretch that they'd shut down the mileage account, but this case isn't about mileage.

Doesn't make any sense to me, any gc that someone bought by aa, they wouldn't need Google to help them track the persons info , they should have the CC info the Guy used when he purchased it

I plan on calling AA's counsel today.

The general gist is that a certain individual has been fraudulently obtaining and selling AA GCs. I think those subpoenaed may have been used as pawns by this individual (or it could be something more nefarious, I'm not sure). I know the person who received the subpoena seems not to do anything wrong.

The interesting thing is that most names on the subpoena look "of a particular heritage."

Wow, DDF breaking news. I understand this is something REALLY bad, not trading gc's from amex $200 etc.
So sad.
