I felt like Tisha B'av came a day early this morning.

I sent under the rewards question category:
They responded:
Called them up and it seems like the wrong message was copy/pasted in to my message.
i know you are trying to joke around, but that was a terrible attempt at humor. Equating CCs and Tisha bav. Come on-priorities

Anybody know why they stopped waiving the annual fee for the first year? If you've had it waived within this past June or July please reply:)

P.s. is there a main BA thread?

...But she did make it sound like they would give me the 25000+25000, for the additional spends. She said that they will send me a letter in the mail with the decision.

But I deserve softer!

(It was an ironic comment, not an aspirational one. :) )
So, what you are saying is that the Travel Together ticket is not worth the $10k spend? Assuming I buy $10k worth of GCs (20 x $504.95) to meet the requirement, I would technically be paying about $99 ($4.95 x 20) for it. If I were to get an award flight on BA (per rules) to Europe, and be able to take my wife with for free, would it not be worth it? Can you explain your thoughts on this? Are the surcharges way to exorbitant that it is not worth the effort?  8)

I think they don't make it easy. If you spent that $10k on an Ink, or on multiple new cards for bonuses, you'd probably have much more value and utility.

I actually checked the site for more info and minimum surcharge is $682 for economy pax. Haha I paid less than $600 out of pocket for 2 with chucksterace's merged one way flight plan to 2 states and 5 other countries for 3 weeks.
I guess I pass on BAs annual bonus then after I reach $20k. I'm at $12k right now and still fighting for the AF credit.
So are there any cc's worth spending towards the annual requirement for their bonuses that you could think of?

AF not waived, match to additional spending not happening.
