Because I want to leverage the closing of this card for them approving me for another card today is 30 days from application, they're claiming the 2 cards in 30 day rule unless I'm willing to close a card opened in the last 30 days.
try to have a rep reconsidering the app again so you will start the 30 day clock again

Is that a definite practice?
Because a rep just considered a few days ago & she even said she's sending out a new letter explaining denial.

Approve with 3K CL. I guess it's not a Signature then.
I still get the same bonus, right?
Also, will it have EMV?

So what's the difference? Only the Signature benefits?

Look at account activity. 3 years from the last entry.

Try SMing again and explain the situation. I wouldn't give up so fast.

+1
How did you get the offer? SM? Phone?
Try to remember the dates and ask for recordings.

I  SM'ed three times and asked to escalate the issue. Said that any additional SM will go unanswered.

The match was through SM and i do not have access to those messages anymore. They claim that nothing was there.

Maybe ask to get a copy of those SM's.

Data point:

My wife had a FFN with 0 miles in it (never had the cc), so when I applied for the cc for her, I left the FFN field blank just to see what would happen - worst case, they pull up her old FFN but she would get the bonus anyway since she's never had it.

Well, the card came, and it has a new FFN on it. So, perhaps leaving the FFN blank on this card works...

I tweeted @ChaseSupport yesterday about the issue. Just got a response that they have added the 50K to my account!

Thanks for the idea!
