My 1st statement is closing on Nov. 3rd. The fee didn't show yet.

How many days before the statement closed did it show?
Mine did not show on my first statement. I got the card in early September and the first bill closed on 9/20. The annual fee charged on 10/1. So it seems that it hits the account on the first of the month following card opening.

By the way, I sent a SM and got the fee waived this morning.

Will it be harder to get the additional 50k after $20k spend on this one since it has no AF?

I just got approved for this card as part of a 3BM (with Ink for 70k, and Sapphire) and just received it this week. I know I can get the AF refunded, but what I'm bummed about is not knowing about the 24-month limit to receive the bonus again. I even got a letter from Chase in the mail saying that their records show I'm not eligible for the 50K bonus because I had it too recently.

My question is: Does having opened the BA card reset my calendar and require me to wait another 24 months from now, or is it still 24 months from when I last received the bonus? Also, since recon told me clearly that I had the bonus on my app, is there any way to get them to switch to this some other card (say, SW) without another credit pull? If not, is there anything else I can get out of it?

From the T&C it seems like it's 24 months from last bonus.

If I got one bonus from hitting the minimum spend, and then another 25k miles at the $10k mark, do you think the 24 months would start from the first or second bonus?

I think 24 months from the 1st. As the 2nd one is a different bonus.

I hear that, but they're not listed any differently on my BA account

I don't see why that would matter.

Chase British Airways Card
« Reply #1274 on: November 02, 2014, 10:18:39 AM »
Data point:

My wife had a FFN with 0 miles in it (never had the cc), so when I applied for the cc for her, I left the FFN field blank just to see what would happen - worst case, they pull up her old FFN but she would get the bonus anyway since she's never had it.

Well, the card came, and it has a new FFN on it. So, perhaps leaving the FFN blank on this card works...

Interesting
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

Anyone actually done it?

I would make a new FFN. Why risk it?

People seem to be making a big deal about

This bonus offer is available to you as long as you have not received a new cardmember bonus for this product in the past 24 months.
Has anyone gotten the card and not gotten the bonus?
The SP has the same clause and I've gotten the bonus twice in 24 months.
