Limited time offer till 3/31/15 (50K, annual fee waived for 1st year): http://www.dansdeals.com/go/BA4

YMMV (since Aug. '14, no one on this thread has reported successfully getting a better offer than the regular 50k (AF waived) offer linked above):
SM Chase before and/or after getting the card and they will often waive the $95 yearly fee for the first year.
SM Chase before and/or after getting the card and they will match to the offer to get 50,000 bonus Avios for spending $2,000, another 25,000 bonus Avios after you make $10,000 in purchases within the first year of account opening., and another 25,000 bonus Avios after you make an additional $10,000 in purchases also within the first year of account opening.
Total bonus Avios for $20K spend=100,000
Total Avios for base spending at 1.25 Avios per dollar spent=25K.
Total Avios=125K.

I was charged $95 af on my first statement, any way around this? what can i write in a sm that will have them waive it?
TIA
You can write that you saw an offer for the AF waived in the first year and ask to be matched to it

If it was in the last 3 months then:
You can write that you saw an offer for the AF waived in the first year and ask to be matched to it

I logged onto my wife's account to find that the $95 annual fee for her BA card that was closed a while back had been refunded. I was surprised, but not complaining. I then went onto my account, and sent a SM requesting the AF on my closed BA account to be refunded as well. I'd already been told no on twitter, SM, and by phone reps when I first got the card, but I figured why not. To my surprise, they responded that they are refunding the fee!

Then, I sent an SM on my wife's account, requesting to transfer the credit to a different card. Here was the response:

 >:( >:( >:(

They rewaived the fee! I don't know what happened all of a sudden. I tried so many times to get the BA fees waived with no success, and now all of a sudden it's so easy. I never even mentioned matching to the current offer.

Just because you didn't mention it, doesn't mean they don't know about it

Obviously. But from my experience it's rare to get something without some degree of arm twisting or sweet talking involved, and here they are just throwing the fees back at me. And it's not even like the accounts were opened recently that I could ask to be matched. They weren't even closed that recently. Not that I'm complaining at all.

Anyone else find it easier now?

It's easier now because there's a current offer with no AF the first year.

Lots of people recently received 9000 avios points after 1500 spend.

My one year on this will be on Dec 20th . I had the 100K bonus offer.

Met the $20K spend req few days ago. One rep told me I have to spend $22K. I thought the first $2k spend is counted in $20k?

I also took the retention offer of 9k avios for $1500 spend. Will check my statement on Dec 21 for the 25K & 9K avios.

Unfortunately I couldn't do the full $20k on wife's card and her AF posted few days ago. So missed out on the 25k Avios.
We will either close both of our BA cards or just one to avoid $95 fee.

I am not sure about converting this to any other chase cards? We have several freedoms on both of our accounts and the Chase Sapphire too.
Any thoughts on this?

CMIIW, but I think you can't downgrade Chase branded cards to Chase's own card or VV.
Therefore, you can't downgrade the BA.

I'm sure some folks have tried, gotta give some more time to reach the 2k spending threshold since the last no annual fee offer.

So I just got approved for the BA card. However, it seems that I only got a credit line of 2k. Considering the fact that I want to use Redcard to max out some of the Avios points I get for spending, is it easy to switch some of my credit around from my existing cards to this one? Does BA normally give such a low credit line? My other chase cards have much larger ones.

Shouldn't have any problem moving around credit from your other cards.

Thanks! Surprised about the low limit but they might just want to make sure my over all creditline is not too big.

Chase probably didn't want to give you anymore credit. BECAUSE you already have high CL's with them.
It's very easy to move credit around. Call or SM.
