I just signed up for the card today.

Does anyone know if I can still ask for the 50K anniversary bonus or is that long gone?
Long gone, AFAIK.

Just activated my Chase BA card, the lady agent gave me the full rundown of all the benefits attached to this card, and I of course thanked her for all the awesome information like it was the first time I ever heard about all that...

But interestingly, she told me to keep in mind that the 90 days required to spend the $2000 starts from the day I've submitted the application to Chase, not as I always thought the day of activating the card

Not that it makes a huge difference, but if that's true, make sure not to leave your spending requirement to the last minute

Its never a good idea,
because the transaction might be pending a few days after you did them.

For those who got the CC with the additional anniversary 50K, did you close the card before the 30 days were up for an AF refund? Any claw-backs?
1) yes
2) no

correct. i was assuming an instant approval.

many people have confused this with the 60 day Amex full refund cancellation window which does begin from when the AF posts

Has anyone who recently closed a BA been able to get approved for a new one? My last BA app was over a year ago but I did just get the 50K anniversary bonus.

I applied 90 days ago 50K with a $95 AF.
I called today, told them that I see same offer w/o First year AF, and they said they will refund me!

Same here. I was wondering if there was a chance they'd refund it. Gonna call.
Thanx
