Limited time offer till 3/31/15 (50K, annual fee waived for 1st year): http://www.dansdeals.com/go/BA4

YMMV (since Aug. '14, no one on this thread has reported successfully getting a better offer than the regular 50k (AF waived) offer linked above):
SM Chase before and/or after getting the card and they will often waive the $95 yearly fee for the first year.
SM Chase before and/or after getting the card and they will match to the offer to get 50,000 bonus Avios for spending $2,000, another 25,000 bonus Avios after you make $10,000 in purchases within the first year of account opening., and another 25,000 bonus Avios after you make an additional $10,000 in purchases also within the first year of account opening.
Total bonus Avios for $20K spend=100,000
Total Avios for base spending at 1.25 Avios per dollar spent=25K.
Total Avios=125K.

General question about chase; do they see how many cards you applied for with them only from credit report or do they have an internal system in place that tells them. I.e. If I apply for 2nd round of cards & they pull from different credit bureau then the first  will they still know bout the first app?

Thanks
Recon has been quoting past CSRs notes and decisions, as well as naming off the cards applied for on a 4BM, therefore, I think the answer is YES IMHO.

my brother sent an SM before and was told they would waive it after it posts,I sm'd after and was told it wasn't possible to waive....so before might b better ,just get it in writing.
Is there any common way other than an SM?

They were quoting notes written regarding old applications (other than the ones you just applied for)?

I don't think there was any doubt that they see all of the recent applications, (I assume) the question was if they see further back.

That's what I assumed. I don't know the answer, but srap's information does not answer your question.

Applications archived after 30 days, but still have access to them and they, like any good company, keep notes of every conversation for future reference.  That doesn't mean that they are going to read the notes each time, but the information stays.

Anybody know the idea with spending threshold within a few days of receiving the card and then waiting till miles post to cancel the card? Basically- can I get out of the annual fee? I just tried for SM for my wife after she got the card and they refused - so Im trying to go around it this time.
