"Hi,
A friend of mine just told me he got this same card with an offer for 100,000 Avios. I only received 50,000. Can you please match me to the 100k offer?
Thanks"

They replied that it was no longer a valid offer. So I wrote back:
"I know someone personally that was just matched to the 100,000 offer!"

Got a message today confirming that they will match me to 100k for 20k spend. No screenshot necessary.

They don't except via SM if you're lucky.

Either way I'd look at it as a 50K signup bonus and then an extra couple miles per dollar spent through $20K...

Not shabby at all, but I don't consider a card with a $20K spend to be a true signup bonus. More like a spend bonus.

I mean, you can look at all signup bonuses with a spend requirement as ridiculously good spend bonuses if you want: $2,000 spend on this card = 52500 Avios = 26.25 Avios/dollar :)

Incidentally, it looks like the $8,000 after the first $2,000 would be 4.375 Avios/dollar and the final $10,000 would be 3.75 Avios/dollar (still very good).

But if you spend yet another $10,000 you get a single Travel Together ticket. :)

Arguably you should do that.
But at the lower thresholds you don't have to as you know it will be lucrative.  It's the higher ones where that comes into play.
