What are Avios good for these days? I got this card years ago when they were useful for domestic AA flights and Air Berlin flights to Israel. Now it's virtually impossible to get AA flights (at least on the routes I'm interested in), and Air Berlin is in airline heaven. So is there any point in getting this or the Iberia or Aer Lingus versions?

Not really, unless you make use of the companion cert.

The companion certificate is not a real deal with the taxes they charge, I used it once one way only, have had the card for several years, when the next AF hits. ill close it.

If 24 months have passed since receiving the bonus, yes.

you should leave some buffer time but it’s 24 months from when you got the bonus NOT 24 months from when you closed the card

Can this card be product changed to a no AF card?
If yes, will Chase keep the original open date? (Asking for average age of account purposes)
Common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment.
Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Reward Flight Statement Credit: b. Cardmembers will receive a $100 statement credit per reward flight booking in economy (World Traveller) or premium economy (World Traveller Plus); or a $200 statement credit for all other reward flight bookings in business (Club World) and First.
 c. Cardmembers will be eligible to receive no more than three (3) statement credits for three (3) individual bookings in any single calendar year, up to $600 in statement credits per calendar year.
 d. The booking must be for a transatlantic international travel itinerary redeemed from Cardmember's Executive Club account...

Does anybody know if this is actually the case?
