YMMV (since Aug. '14, no one on this thread has reported successfully getting a better offer than the regular 50k (AF waived) offer linked above):
SM Chase before and/or after getting the card and they will often waive the $95 yearly fee for the first year.
SM Chase before and/or after getting the card and they will match to the offer to get 50,000 bonus Avios for spending $2,000, another 25,000 bonus Avios after you make $10,000 in purchases within the first year of account opening., and another 25,000 bonus Avios after you make an additional $10,000 in purchases also within the first year of account opening.
Total bonus Avios for $20K spend=100,000
Total Avios for base spending at 1.25 Avios per dollar spent=25K.
Total Avios=125K.

I was disputing 2 months ago about the AF and the extra spend thresh bonus.  1st SM: I got denied.  2nd: denied for AF credit, but given the 25k+25k bonus for extra spend.  I decided to take a break with asking for the AF as I had been granted the bonus anyways.  Well, yesterday, I just wanted to give it another try (after 2 months) since the dust had already settled.  Keep in mind that this had already been past the 93 days or so that I've had the card.  So, I sent this:

"I looked at my Cardmember Agreement Rates and Fees Table that came with the card package, and it shows as $0 intro fee for first year and $95 thereafter. Unfortunately, I was charged and never received that credit. So, I was wondering why it wasn't honored and if you could honor it since I found the proof. I can send the info if you'd like. Let me know if fax or email would be best. Please help! Thanks.

This is their response:

Thank you for re-contacting Chase about the annual fee for
your British Airways credit card.

In addition, I have issued a $95.00 credit for the annual
fee. This adjustment will be reflected within 1-2 business
days.

Are there any offers for this card right now where the AF is waived for the first year?

Nice!
I SMd and called a ton with no luck. Ended up meeting the spend and just canceling within 90 days to be refunded. :(

Hitting the spend right away, waiting for the statement to close/points to post and then closing the card within 60 days should get the AF refunded/credit balance check mailed to me, right?

Sounds just right. I'm now in at the same spot, I met the threshold already, waiting for statement to close....

Yup. But you might have to SM or call to make sure they mail you the check.

Got it. They could have just continued to give us a year of no AF and everyone would continue to cancel the cards in a year, but noooo they want us to cancel the cards in 31 days so we can churn more frequently. ;)

I cancelled my BA card last week and it's still showing on my chase profile online. Is this normal? (Same with my m&m card)

Is there a way to get rid of it? I have a bunch of canceled cards clogging my profile.

IIRC there's an option to hide certain accounts
