They just approved me with a 2k cl. Thought it has to be 5k...
I thought so too,  the Chase recon guy made me move 5k over to it. He said that that's the minimum IIRC..

Hitting the spend right away, waiting for the statement to close/points to post and then closing the card within 60 days should get the AF refunded/credit balance check mailed to me, right?
Still new at this- why i am getting, is that if I open this card , spend $2,000, then I can close the card and I will keep the points and they will mail me a check for the fee?
How soon do I have to close the card?

ok, what do people tell chase- why they are closing the cc so soon after opening? (I did not realize it had a fee)
how long after its closed do you wait to open it again? I was reading that you have to do it under a different name and then transfer the points- do you have any info on that?

Yep, see if you have a "credit access line" that means you can go over a bit, though I don't know by how much.

That's not a bad excuse, I think 24 months after bonus points posts and wait a minimum of 30 days after closing card (if you have it open that long). change your frequent flyer number & giving a new email address.

I closed this card a few months ago, want to apply now for another, with a new BA account and all

will it be safe to try SM and HUCA to get AF waived and matched for additional 25K or can that get them to look it up and realize i already got it once

on round 2 for the BA card, do i need to use a new executive # or can i use my old one?

IIRC, safer to put a new one.
Just pulled out my old card from last year and I noticed it's the same ff #! When I applied I definitely put the new one there. Will I be ok? Is it because recon approved it?
