Bottom Line - Does Canceling A Card Lower Your Credit Score?

I wanted people's opinion on this subject. Could anyone tell me from experience of show me facts how canceling any credit card would affect my credit?

It would shorten you average credit card history.

dont cancel it. join it with another from the same bank or change it to a free one

Well on amex u can't join cards and if u churn alot before u know it ull find urself with to many cards to keep track of so its more practical to cancel if it doesn't lower ur credit score

it deos slightly. if you dont plan on applying for a loan or morgage within the next sixmonths you will be fine.
